Sound Academy was established in 1980 operating out of the same showroom we have today in Bloxwich, Walsall.

As the brainchild of Richard Key the company concentrated on supplying high-end traditional audio and visual products that occupied the market at the time including Turntables, Cassette Decks, Amplifiers, Graphic Equalisers and Speakers.

In 1987, the Sound Academy started specialising in the installation of multi channel sound systems, surveying peoples homes and recommending the best options to ensure superior sound and vision quality.

The company rapidly gained a reputation for its quality of service which culminated in 1995 being award the first ‘UK National Dealer of Installation Excellence’ at a ceremony in Harrogate.

The Sound Academy has continued to grow and our specialist installation team work with architects, design consultants, property developers and individual clients to seamlessly integrate the very best technology into homes throughout the UK.

There has been many technological advances within the industry over they years including the demand for cinema rooms and now the major growth area is lifestyle products like wireless streaming of sound and vision throughout customers homes.

In the last 12 months the showroom has undergone a major refurbishment with over 1000 square feet of space including cinema demonstration room.
